Mini-Don't Walk By - November 2014
Date and time
Location
Church of St. Francis of Assisi
135 W 31st St New York, NY 10001Description
Hello DWB participants! You are invited to join us for a mini-outreach in preparation for Don't Walk By!
For over a year now New York City Relief has been taking volunteers into Penn Station and around the midtown area to engage, serve, and love the substantial homeless population in the Midtown area. Starting October, they have invited the organizations of Don’t Walk By -- The Bowery Mission, Hope for New York, New York City Rescue Mission, and Street LIFE Ministries, to partner with them to transform the work they've been doing on a much smaller scale into a miniature Don't Walk By that will hopefully provide a monthly platform for people to do street engagement all year round.
Because there is no anchor church, the focus for this event will be in engagement and connecting with a person (as opposed to walking your entire zone).
Date: Thursday November 13, 2014
